Crowns and Bridges

At North Shore Dental Practice, we’re your trusted partner for dental crowns and bridges in Gordon. Our skilled team of dentists is dedicated to restoring your smile's function and beauty with high-quality, custom-made dental prosthetics.

Understanding Dental Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges are prosthetic devices designed to restore damaged teeth or replace missing ones. A crown, often referred to as a 'cap', fits over a damaged tooth, restoring its strength, shape, appearance and size. Bridges, on the other hand, fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

At North Shore Dental Practice, we use state-of-the-art technology and premium materials to create crowns and bridges that look natural and feel comfortable. Our goal is to provide you with a restoration that improves your oral health, enhances your smile, and boosts your confidence.

Our experienced dentists will assess your specific situation and recommend the best type of crown or bridge for your needs. We consider factors such as the location of the tooth, your bite alignment and your personal preferences to ensure the best possible outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting a dental crown at North Shore Dental Practice is a straightforward process that typically takes two appointments over the course of two to three weeks.

What to Expect When You're Getting a Dental Crown in Gordon

At your first appointment, one of our dentists will carefully prepare the tooth that requires the crown. This involves gently reshaping the tooth to allow room for the crown to fit properly. We'll also take impressions of your teeth, which our dental laboratory will use to custom-craft your new crown.

In the meantime, you'll leave our practice with a temporary crown to protect the prepared tooth. This temporary crown allows you to continue eating and speaking normally while we wait for your permanent crown to be fabricated.

Once our trusted dental laboratory has expertly crafted the crown, you'll return for your second and final appointment. During this visit, the dentist will carefully place and adjust your new, permanent crown, ensuring it fits perfectly and blends seamlessly with your other teeth.

Don't Hesitate to Contact North Shore Dental Practice

With the crown securely in place, you'll be all set to enjoy your newly restored tooth! If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help ensure your dental crown experience is a comfortable one from start to finish.

The Crown and Bridge Process

Getting a crown or bridge typically involves two to three visits to our practice. During your first visit, we'll prepare the affected tooth or teeth and take precise impressions. These impressions are sent to our trusted dental laboratory, where your custom crown or bridge is crafted.

While your permanent restoration is being made, we'll fit you with a temporary crown or bridge to protect your prepared tooth and maintain your smile's appearance. Once your permanent crown or bridge is ready, you'll return to our practice for the final fitting. We'll ensure your new restoration fits perfectly, feels comfortable and blends seamlessly with your natural teeth.
